Don’t Miss Out on the Waterview Winter Music Festival: 19-21 June in Baffle Creek
19–21 June: Waterview Winter Music Festival at Baffle Creek – Live Music, Camping & Culture
Winter is often seen as a time to slow down and stay indoors, but for music lovers and festival-goers, it can also be the perfect season to gather, connect, and enjoy live music in the outdoors. This June, Waterview Winter Music Festival invites attendees to do just that, with a three-day celebration of live music, culture, workshops, and community from Friday 19 June to Sunday 21 June at Baffle Creek Retreat, Queensland.
Set in a peaceful rural environment surrounded by bushland and waterways, Waterview Winter Music Festival offers a relaxed winter escape where music, creativity, and people come together.
A Weekend of Live Music by the Creek
Waterview Winter Music Festival features a diverse program of live performances across rock, blues, world music, and cultural dance, presented over three days in an intimate outdoor setting.
The festival showcases Australian and regional artists, creating space for both emerging and established performers. Rather than rushing between stages, Waterview encourages attendees to slow down, stay for the weekend, and experience the music as part of a shared community atmosphere.
What’s Happening Each Day
Friday – Battle of the Bands
The weekend kicks off on Friday afternoon with a Battle of the Bands, where selected groups perform for the chance to be featured on the main stage on Saturday night.
Campers are welcome to arrive earlier in the day to set up, with live music running from 4:00pm through to midnight, setting the tone for a relaxed and social weekend ahead.
Saturday – Main Festival Day
Saturday is the heart of the festival, featuring a full day and night of live music across genres including rock, blues, country, and world music. Performances run from 10:00am until midnight, making this the biggest and most energetic day of the weekend.
In addition to live music, Saturday will also include interactive workshops and activities, adding a hands-on cultural and creative layer to the festival experience.
Sunday – Multicultural Performances, Dance & Workshops
Sunday offers a gentler close to the festival, with a focus on multicultural dance, cultural performances, and community workshops.
Attendees can take part in activities such as face painting, drum circles, and cultural weaving, alongside acoustic-style performances. Designed as a relaxed afternoon, Sunday runs from 10:00am to 3:00pm, allowing time to enjoy music, creativity, and connection before pack-up.
Workshops & Activities
Waterview Winter Music Festival is about participation as much as performance. Across the weekend, attendees can enjoy a range of workshops and activities, including:
-
Face painting
-
Drum circles
-
Cultural weaving
-
Interactive and community-led creative sessions
These activities are designed to be inclusive, family-friendly, and accessible, offering opportunities to learn, create, and connect in a relaxed outdoor environment.
Camping & Festival Experience
A key part of the Waterview Winter Music Festival experience is on-site camping at Baffle Creek Retreat. Camping allows attendees to fully immerse themselves in the weekend, wake up surrounded by nature, and enjoy the festival at a slower, more connected pace.
Camping is available on Friday and Saturday nights, with attendees bringing their own tents, bedding, lighting, and supplies. Toilets are available on site, and food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the festival.
Evenings around the campsite provide space to unwind, share stories, and enjoy the unique atmosphere that only a small, community-focused festival can offer.
Food, Community & Atmosphere
Food and drink vendors will be on site throughout the weekend, offering a range of options to keep attendees fuelled between performances and activities.
Waterview Winter Music Festival prides itself on being friendly, inclusive, and community-oriented, welcoming couples, friends, families, and seasoned festival-goers alike. With open spaces, shared experiences, and a respectful crowd, the atmosphere is designed to feel safe, social, and easy to enjoy.
A Festival with Heart
Delivered by DC World Entertainment and FESTURI – A Multicultural Celebration Inc, in partnership with Baffle Creek Retreat, Waterview Winter Music Festival is built on a foundation of experience in live music, cultural events, and community festivals.
By attending, festival-goers are supporting Australian artists, cultural practitioners, local businesses, and a regional event that values connection, creativity, and respect for the natural environment.
