The Mason Rack Band Brings Blues-Rock Fire to Waterview Winter Music Festival
One of the most exciting acts appearing at the inaugural Waterview Winter Music Festival is the powerhouse trio The Mason Rack Band.
From 19–21 June 2026, festival-goers will gather at Baffle Creek Retreat for a weekend of live music, camping, culture and community. As one of the major acts on the Saturday line-up, The Mason Rack Band is set to deliver a performance packed with energy, passion and unforgettable stage moments.
Who Are The Mason Rack Band?
Originating from the Gold Coast, Queensland, The Mason Rack Band has built a reputation as one of Australia’s hardest-working blues and roots bands. Over the years, the trio has performed thousands of live shows and toured internationally, appearing at festivals and venues across Australia, Europe and Canada.
Led by Mason Rack on vocals and guitar, together with Jamie Roberts on bass and Jules Keshan on drums, the band creates a sound that blends heavy blues-rock with roots, jazz, country, reggae and alternative rock influences.
Their music has often been described as dragging the blues into the modern era. With gritty vocals, powerful guitar work and an explosive rhythm section, they deliver a sound that is both classic and fresh.
Fans of artists like The Black Keys, Ben Harper and Led Zeppelin will find plenty to love in a Mason Rack Band performance.
A Live Show Unlike Any Other
The Mason Rack Band is known not only for its music, but also for its incredible live performances. Their shows are full of energy, audience interaction and unforgettable moments.
One of the most talked-about parts of a Mason Rack Band show is the band’s famous drum and percussion segments. During performances, all three members often join together in percussion battles using drums, percussion instruments and even a beer keg. It is loud, exciting and always gets the crowd involved.
The band is also known for switching instruments during songs, creating a stage show full of movement, personality and surprises. Mason Rack’s raspy vocals and slide guitar style, combined with the huge sound of the rhythm section, make every performance feel larger than life.
