DC World Entertainment – Terms and Conditions

By accessing this website or engaging the services of DC World Entertainment, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
1. General Conduct
- Treat others with respect and professionalism
- Act lawfully and responsibly
- Not engage in aggressive, discriminatory or offensive behaviour
- Follow directions given by DC World Entertainment staff or authorised representatives
DC World Entertainment reserves the right to refuse service or remove individuals for unsafe or inappropriate conduct.
2. Services Provided
- Entertainment Services — live bands, DJs, solo artists and cultural performers curated to suit your audience, venue and event style.
- Event Security Services — licensed and professional security personnel providing crowd control, risk management, compliance and event safety services.
- Event Management Services — full event planning and coordination services including logistics management, crew and supplier coordination, on-site operations, safety supervision and pack-down.
- Contractor & Technical Services — engagement of independent contractors across technical, operational, production, labour hire, and marketing and promotion roles.
3. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate event information
- Ensure venues are safe and suitable
- Hold required permits and approvals
- Provide adequate access for staff and equipment
- Ensure children are supervised
- Comply with all relevant laws and venue rules
4. Safety & Risk
- Participants attend events at their own risk
- Hazards must be reported immediately
- DC World Entertainment may suspend services if conditions are unsafe
- First aid provision will be advised per event
- Clients are responsible for crowd and guest behaviour
5. Equipment & Property
- DC World Entertainment equipment must not be tampered with
- Damage caused by clients, guests, contractors or venue staff will be charged to the client
- All equipment remains the property of DC World Entertainment unless otherwise agreed
6. Alcohol, Smoking & Substances
- Alcohol only permitted where licensed and in accordance with law
- Smoking and vaping only in designated areas
- Illegal substances are strictly prohibited
- Intoxicated persons may be refused service or entry
7. Accessibility & Inclusion
DC World Entertainment supports inclusive and accessible environments.
8. Weather & Emergencies (Outdoor Events Only)
- Outdoor events proceed unless conditions become unsafe
- Services may be suspended or cancelled for safety
- Emergency and evacuation instructions must be followed
- DC World Entertainment is not responsible for weather-related disruption
9. Bookings, Pricing & Variations
- Bookings are confirmed only when agreed in writing
- Deposits may be required
- Final payment is due as stated in the agreement
- Late payments may incur additional fees
- Prices are based on the agreed scope of services
Additional services, time extensions or staffing changes may incur additional charges.
10. Cancellation Policy (General)
- Client cancellations must be made in writing
- Cancellation fees may apply
- Deposits may be non-refundable
- Short-notice cancellations may result in full fees being payable
11. Performers & Workshops
- Performers and workshop presenters must arrive a minimum of one (1) hour prior to their scheduled performance or session time unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- All performers must follow event schedules, stage management directions and MC instructions at all times.
- Self-introductions on stage are not permitted unless expressly approved by DC World Entertainment.
- Children must be supervised off-stage at all times.
- Performers and presenters are expected to attend and perform in all weather conditions unless the event is cancelled by DC World Entertainment.
- All backing tracks and materials must be copyright compliant.
- A minimum of $20 million Public Liability Insurance is required unless otherwise approved in writing.
12. Security Services
- Security staff operate under Queensland law
- Clients must not instruct security staff unlawfully
- Clients indemnify DC World Entertainment against unsafe venues
13. Event Management Services
- Acts as coordinator, not venue owner
- Program changes may occur
- No guarantee of attendance numbers
14. Photography, Media & Intellectual Property
- Events may be photographed or recorded
- Media may be used for promotion
- All branding and content remains DC World Entertainment property
15. Privacy & Data
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

17. Contractors & Service Providers
- Contractors operate as independent service providers and are not employees of DC World Entertainment.
- Contractors must hold all relevant licences, certifications, and approvals required for their role.
- Public Liability Insurance is mandatory and must be provided upon request.
- Contractors must comply with all safety requirements, event rules, and directions from event management.
- Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without compensation.
18. Volunteers
- Volunteers must attend all agreed and scheduled shifts.
- Consumption of alcohol or drugs while on duty is strictly prohibited.
- Volunteers are responsible for their own personal belongings.
- DC World Entertainment reserves the right to remove any volunteer for unsafe, inappropriate or non-compliant behaviour.
19. Sponsors & Partners
- No partnership or profit sharing is implied unless agreed in writing
- No guaranteed return on sponsorship or partnership contributions
20. Insurance
DC World Entertainment maintains appropriate business and public liability insurance.
21. Force Majeure
DC World Entertainment is not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond its control.
22. Disputes
Disputes must be raised in writing and resolved in good faith.
23. Subcontractors
DC World Entertainment may engage subcontractors.
24. Severability
If any part of these Terms is invalid, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
25. Limitation of Liability
Participation is at your own risk except where required by law.
26. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
27. Changes to These Terms
DC World Entertainment may update these Terms at any time.
